Originally from Miami, FL, Alicia Calero is a proud Nicaraguan American and a visionary engineering leader with over 15 years of experience in offshore wind, oil and gas, subsea systems, and regulatory compliance. At AVANGRID, she drives innovative compliance strategies that power sustainable energy. Fluent in English and Spanish, Alicia excels in stakeholder management and regulatory excellence. She holds a degree in Chemical-Biomedical Engineering from Florida State University with executive education from Harvard Business School.
Alicia is passionate about community and professional development, actively contributing to various organizations and initiatives. She was a founding member of the New England chapter for the Women’s Energy Network and co-Chairs the Careers Committee at Browning the Green Space. Alicia believes in the power of collaboration and innovation, stating, "Together, we can create sustainable solutions that not only meet today's challenges but also pave the way for a brighter future."
Outside of work, Alicia enjoys running and hiking with her two dogs and husband.
