Mickel Alexander, Development Director
Mickel is a Latin American nonprofit leader with over 10 years of experience in growing sustainable organizations. He co-founded one of the largest youth development nonprofits in the Caribbean region and created its marquee event, The National Poetry Slam of Trinidad and Tobago, which is the largest Spoken Word event in the Caribbean. His outreach initiatives have spanned eight countries, enabling him to conduct programs reaching over 60,000 people annually. In addition to his nonprofit work, Mickel has ventured into various media businesses, including wedding lifestyle photography. Notably, he co-founded an advertising agency catering to the social sector. His dedication and contributions have earned him recognition, including the prestigious 2022 Commonwealth Youth Award for the Caribbean region. He also holds a BSc in Psychology.
