The City of Cambridge has partnered with the nonprofit All In Energy to help renters, property owners and landlords of single-family homes, apartments or condos in buildings save money and energy, while making their homes more comfortable year-round.
What are the benefits of a Home Energy Assessment?
There are benefits available for residents of all income levels.
How does the no-cost Home Energy Assessment work?
Virtual Home Energy Assessment
- During a virtual energy assessment, you will scan your home through the SeeAir App. The app will guide you through recording your floor plan and taking photos of your appliances.
- During your scheduled 30-minute zoom session, a certified Energy Specialist to walk through Mass Save recommendations and eligible incentives.
In Person Home Energy Assessment
- During an in person assessment a certified Energy Specialist will visit your home to identify opportunities to save energy, including:
- Performing a safety check of your heating system*
- Installing eligible energy- and water-saving devices
- Assessing the potential to improve air sealing or insulation in your walls, attic* and basement*.
- Afterwards, you will have the option to review the Mass Save recommendations and eligible incentives on a 30-minute zoom session.
