Celebrating Our Interns' Contributions

Over the past several months, we've had the opportunity to work alongside two talented interns whose curiosity, initiative, and fresh ideas have made a difference across our projects.

Gianfranco Cornejo Gizzi and Anh Vu have each made meaningful contributions to our team, and we’re grateful for the time they spent with us.

We invite you to learn more about their experiences and the impact they’ve had:

Gian’s Reflections: Hello everyone! My name is Gianfranco Cornejo Gizzi. I am a graduating Senior at Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts. I majored in Political Science and minored in Creative Writing. I spent this semester working as the Community Engagement Intern for All In Energy. This was my first position within the clean energy field, and I am extremely grateful for the connections I made and lessons I learned over the past 5 months.

During my time at AIE, I drafted and refined marketing and training materials for CFP, conducted outreach in Lowell and Springfield for Navigator, developed and oversaw comprehensive administrative systems for tracking attendance, participation, contact information, and legal document preparation and signing for AIE Program Team, and aided the logistical planning of a couple of major events.

All of these projects allowed me to step out of my comfort zone, challenge my social skills, and establish my professional identity. Interacting with every single member of the AIE team taught me that being your true and most authentic self is key to succeeding in the real world.

This internship and my amazing supervisor, Erin, opened my eyes to new horizons and professional opportunities. Through my time at AIE, I learned community outreach, community engagement, community building, policy implementation, and energy efficiency are the work fields I want to dedicate my life to. Working with all CFP participating communities and seeing firsthand the impact my work had in the life of many people, which made me feel fulfilled. This finding motivated me to only apply to Community-based and oriented jobs for my time post-undergraduate.

In late May, I will be joining The Village Works, a coworking space located in Boston, as a Community Associate, position in which I will continue fostering community, enhancing connections among people, mediating conflict, and leading initiatives to make our work more accessible, approachable, and appealing to all communities who are interested in our services. AIE prepared me well for this and I can’t wait to implement all the feedback and knowledge I received from my coworkers into this new position. Words will never be enough to describe how grateful I am for being part of the AIE family.

Anh’s Reflections: I completed my internship at All In Energy, and it was an amazing journey! As a Communications major at BHCC, this was my first internship and also my first time working in the clean energy industry. It was an experience that exceeded my expectations as I have wanted to contribute to green-related jobs for a long time. I joined All In Energy as a People & Culture Intern, working on recruitment, employee recognition and HR support.

I gained professional experience, gained confidence and saw the power of building an inclusive, human-centered workplace.

This journey has been very inspiring and motivated me for my upcoming path. Heading to Northeastern University and my next big adventure!

To Gian and Anh: thank you for your thoughtful contributions and for being a valued part of the team. We wish you continued success in all that comes next!
