Andover Renters, Landlords and Homeowners

Save energy and money, make your homes more comfortable

As our City grapples with the COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Andover is launching its partnership with the nonprofit All In Energy to connect renters, landlords and homeowners living in buildings with 1-4 units to energy-savings programs that can help you upgrade your apartments and buildings and reduce your energy bills - all at no-cost and without anyone coming into your home until it is safe.

Limited Time Opportunity!
Mass Save® is offering 100% off approved insulation that is recommended during energy assessments for a limited time for all rental units in 1-4 unit buildings and for property owners who insulate all units of a 2-4 unit building. Single family homeowners and single unit/condo owners can get 75-100% off approved insulation, based on income. More details below.

Who can participate?
If you pay a utility bill, you are eligible! Whether you rent or own, one unit or a whole 1-4 unit building, you can get a no-cost home energy assessment. This is an important opportunity for all of us to work together to ensure that Andover residents are receiving the full benefits of the statewide Mass Save® program, which is funded through an “energy efficiency” charge on our monthly utility bills and administered by your electric and natural gas providers.

You may qualify for greater energy- and cost-saving benefits through Andover's CAP agency (nonprofit), GLCAC, rather than the Mass Save® program based on your income or your tenants' income if you own a building. Learn more here.

How does it work?
To start, we encourage you to request a No-Cost Home Energy Assessment. The assessment is performed by a Mass Save® home performance contractor and will be performed completely virtually.

All you need is a phone, the technology to do a video chat and/or send photos of the home over email, and access to your building or apartment to install eligible energy-saving measures. In-person options are available upon request if access to or use of this technology is a burden.

Limited Time Opportunity!  Call (978) 237-4530, or click the link below to request your assessment today to take advantage of the limited time offer for 100% off approved insulation for all rental units in 1-4 unit buildings and for property owners who insulate all units of a 2-4 unit building.  Single family homeowners and single unit/condo owners can get 75-100% off approved insulation, based on income.
